Our 10 Favorite Corners in Bangkok

...Let's check it out!

1. Tom N Toms Coffee,

The Sense Pinklao

Tom N Toms Coffee is a coffee shop that opens 24 hours daily. Since our houses are near Pinklao area, we usually meet up at Tom N Toms to work and study together. The place also provides us with free wifi for 3 hours per one receipt. Plugs are also provided all over the stop. So, if you are looking for some place to work with these facilities in Pinklao, we recommend it here.

Rama VIII Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Chao Phraya River from Pinklao to Sanam Luang area. There is a public park under the bridge for people to relax and do activities such as skateboard, aerobic dance, and picnic. What we like about the place is the nice scenery of the Chao Phraya River and the peace, as it is not so crowded there.

3. Siam Paragon

Siam Paragon is one of the leading shopping malls in Thailand and one of the biggest shopping centers in Asia. It is our favorite shopping mall because of its convenient location right in front of BTS and the variety of restaurants and shops for us to go to. For Mook, her favorite corner there is the Kinokuniya bookstore as she really loves books while Ming's favorite corner is Starbucks as he loves coffee and Starbucks itself!

4. Yaowarat Road

Yaowarat Road is also known as Bangkok's Chinatown which is located in Samphanthawong district or  centered on Sam Pheng Lane. There are so many restaurants at night especailly Chinese restaurants and foods such as noodles, shark fin, moon cakes, and Chinese desserts. Our favorite food there is the sweet bread from the famous "Yaowarat Toast" kiosk as the flavor is so rich and the bread is thick on the cover and soft on the inside making it so tasty! So if anyone is looking for something good to eat, try going to Yaowarat Road!

5. True Spa, Exchange Tower

True Spa is an urban day spa. There are 2 branches which are at Central World and Exchange Tower, Asoke. But Mook is a member at the Exchange Tower branch, so she recommends it there. At True spa, there is a variety of innovative face and body treatments like Swedish massage, Thai massage, nail treatment, and facial spa. After all the hard work and stress, it would be nice to get some relaxation in such a serene and luxurious envrionment!

We Fitness at Major Pinklao is actually the biggest fitness in the area. The fitness consists of 5 floors, first 3 floors are for body and machine training while the 4th floor is the shower floor and the 5th floor is the roof for swimming pool. Ming actually enjoys it there alot as he always goes to the place to get his body fit and firmed.

7. Brick Bar

Brick Bar is a trendy bar on Khoa-San Road. It is decorated in an old Western tone which can hold approximately 1,200 people. Various kinds of music are played there like Ska, Ragge, Jazz, along with live band performance. Because of the good music and lively atmosphere, Brick Bar is one of the very first places that we will think of when we want to chill out at night with friends.

6ixcret is a Pub & Restaurant located at Ekamai Soi 6. It is a place for you to sit back, relax, and hang out with friends more than a place for you to dance and get wild.

There are live bands performing acoustic music and pop music. You can choose to sit inside or outside, but we prefer sitting outside as it's more spacious and comfortable.

Open hours: 5:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. everyday

9. Tha Maharaj

Tha Maharaj is at Trok Mahathat, Maharaj Road. There are many restaurants, and the place is well decorated. Beautiful scenery of the Chao Phraya River is the highlight of Tha Maharaj. That's why Tha Maharaj has become one of our favorite places to go to in Bangkok.

Bang Ka Chao is Bangkok green space located on an island at Klong Toei. It is considered to be “Bangkok’s Lung” as it intakes and purifies the sea breeze before the breeze gets into the city (For more details, click here). Even though we have been there just once, but the place really gets our hearts as we are so in love with the peace and sufficient lifestyles of the people there.
