Annoying Problems That Tourists Might Face in Bangkok
This article is not about a specific trip that we went together, but it is a collection of some problems in Bangkok we have faced ourselves. So we just want to share these issues for other Thais and foreigners who might have not travel to many places in Bangkok like us to know and get themselves prepared beforehand.
According to the Master Card Global Destination Cities Index, Bangkok has become the No.1 most visited city in the world in 2014 with 15.98 million international visits, edging out London, the previous No. 1. This makes the Thai capital become the first Asian city to top the Master Card Index.
Even though Thailand is considered to be the "land of smiles" with many well known tourist attractions, there are some annoying issues that tourists could face when traveling in Bangkok .
1. Infamous taxi drivers- Some drivers cheat on the fare by not using meter calculator, and insist on using the prepay method instead which is illegal.
2. Public bus- People are talking a lot about the public bus driving too fast like the bus number 8 traveling from Happy Land to Memorial Bridge (Bang Kapi District to Phra Nakhon and Thonburi Districts, Bangkok). The concerns from the people have been posted so many times on Pantip.com, one of the most famous webboards in Thailand, to raise their voices.
Another case is that drivers of many public buses don't even look at the door to make sure that everyone enters and leaves the bus properly before taking off. This is very dangerous, and we have even faced it ourselves!

3. Insanitary- Since Thailand is a tropial rain forest country with such a hot weather nearly all year round, the country is full of dust; including Bangkok. In addition, people's behavior in throwing trashes all around the city even makes the sanitary conditions in Bangkok even worse.

Look around. Trahses are all over the place
3. Inconvenience- Even though Thailand has been promoting people to have social concern and etiquette, not everyone is cooperating. We can still see people cutting lines and being inorganized when using public services like ordering food in restaurants, using public toilet, or queuing up for public transportation.

Other inconveniences can result from dishonesty like when the Taxi driver takes you on a long and unnecessary trip just so they get to earn more.
So, this page is to give you some information on the ongoing issues in Bangkok that you should know beforehand in order to avoid facing these inconveniences and risks, but to enjoy this beautiful and fun city instead. This is becasue we still think that Bangkok is a good place to visit and that everyone would have a great time here if you are aware of some issues and find ways to avoid them in the first place.
