AppS You Will Need For Traveling
It’s undeniable that we are now attaching ourselves with our smartphones all the time, and the application developers are trying to make more nice apps for us to make our lives easier. So, let’s come to see our selection of 10 applications that will help you to travel easier and happier.
1. Sunscreen (Only Available on the App Store)
This application is the savior of many ladies who are too afraid to get their skin burned by Bangkok’s harsh sunlight. This application allows you to monitor the UV Index(UVI) in an interactive way, and you can actually check for the UVI from all the places in this world! Also, this application helps you to calculate the time you have to reapply your sunblock lotion by using the UVI of your location, SPF of the lotion, and the tone of your skin. Worth a try!

2. TripAdvisor (Available on the App Store and Google Play Store)
For many times, we have been questioning ourselves on where we should go, what we should do, and what we should eat. Congratulations, we are now having our own library of the crowdsourcing database in different places in the world. The grading system is based on the 5-star criteria. You can check for the nice places to stay, great foods to eat, and fun things to do. These are just some functions available on the app. Make sure you get it on your phone to discover more functions that the app has to offer and to make your trip a great trip!

3. Google Translate (Available on the App Store and Google Play Store)
Imagine yourself encountering with Farang and Chinese people asking you about the direction or just a simple question “Where’s the toilet”. For some of us, answering the English question with an English answer seems to be so easy. But what about the Turkish, Traditional Chinese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Korean, Japanese, German, and so many more. *Sigh* But Now you have this dear app that will automatically translate your conversation with the other language speakers to make sure that both of you are on the same track. Of course, the app might not be 100% accurate, but it will surely save you from using those hard-to-understand hand gestures.

4. Swarm (Available on the App Store and Google Play Store)
This application is a must for those craving for socialization and engagement with their friends on social media. This application is actually the social-version of Foursquare application. The Foursquare serves as a database for you to search for a place, while Swarm mainly focuses on making friends meet. So now you can be sure that you will get to meet your friends wherever you go, or at least having your friends know about where you are and what you are doing. Let’s roam around Bangkok together!

5. Google Goggles (only available on Google Play Store)
It’s an invention! Google Goggle allows you to point your camera to anything you’re curious about. Hopefully, if it knows what you’re looking at, the information based on Wikipedia will pop up to the screen. You can scan barcodes and QR codes via this app. Also, you can get information about certain places since the application recognizes famous landmarks. It can also translate texts, add contacts by name card, recognize paintings, books, and CDs, and even solve Sudoku puzzles! What an app!
